Animation Students bag Runners Up at the Alva’s Media Buzz International Conference 2020

Moodbidri: Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research, Alva’s College of Journalism & Mass Communication organized a two-day Media Fest during its International Conference on Media & Climate Action on February 28^th & 29^th. The College also hosted various competitions that aligned with the central theme of Media & Climate Action.

Students of B.Sc. Animation & VFX and B.Sc. Film Making & VFX, iNurture Education Solutions, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, secured the runner-up by, winning a total of three first prizes in Stop Motion by Animation & VFX students (Sem 2 & 4), Comic Strip by Rakshan Acharya of I B.Sc. Animation, and Film Review by Rudresh M. of II B.Sc. Digital Film Making.

While Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial Institute, Shivamogga, won the overall championship by winning first prize in four events (Short Film, Video PSA, Street Play, and Surprise Event) and second prize in one (Mad Ad).

Senior visual media journalist Jayaprakash Shetty, Chairperson of Asare Charitable Trust, Dr. Ashajyothi Rai, Sri K. Sripathi Bhat, Sri Srinivas Nayak Indaje, President of Dakshina Kannada Working Journalist Union, Sri Vivek Alva, Trustee of Alva’s Education Foundation graced the award ceremony as Guests. Dr. Kurian, Principal, and Conference Convener Mr. Srinivasa Pejathaya were present.
